That Barbarian is one tough son of a bitch.

That other character is an angel alright.

Niiiiiice. This may be too late to be throwing suggestions at you, but I would still tuck in the top of his loincloth behind the skull. Leads the eye more, and from a realism standpoint makes it look like there's something holding it together.

Don't be naive, cartoonbaron. Angels and barbarians go together like Dan Brown novels and film adaptations! Oh, wait. Bad, bad, terrible, awful example.

The angel I still like, though I have an idea that might help you where animation is concerned: those are some big, complicated wings, what with the many parallel lines to keep track of, but do you remember Kid Icarus from Captain N? No matter how butt-ugly the character himself is, it's a decent simplified wing design. Stretched, filled out and made sleeker and shined up a little, I imagine it could work for your angel. And it's a lot easier to draw. a few clusters of large feathers rather than a whole array.

It's a sad state of affairs when this is the best Google can do:

Yeah... This doesn't really get across what I mean at all. I can email you a drawing if you want. Let me know.
